In Paris, the Kimmel showroom is located in a former artist’s studio with paint covered stone floors and traditional wooden desks, whilst large windows at the back look out on to some of the most desirable property in the (le) Marais.

This season, the showroom displayed a collection for autumn 2012 which featured a large amount of tailoring - slimmer than you would normally expect from Mr. Kimmel - with beautiful pieces from shirting to outerwear, whilst artist Ken Price designed spaceship themed graphics featured on more casual pieces.

Technical fabrics such as waterproof-wool, we're key in adding to the Area 51, secret-service theme - with the impressively large picture collage setting the mood for the buyers - whilst a customised Adam Kimmel fighter jet helmet (name-check to Euan Plater), featured in the show, sat alongside the accessories.

It’s always amazing to see how buyers from around the world treat the collection differently, and helping them to find the correct pieces can be an enjoyable challenge. It was however nice to meet with Hannes and Simon, to get their take on the collection, from closer to home.
